Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia

Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are conditions that cause progressive changes in memory, reasoning, communication, and daily functioning. While each type of dementia presents differently, individuals may experience a range of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral symptoms over time.

Common symptoms may include:

  • Memory loss that interferes with daily activities
  • Difficulty with language, problem-solving, or decision-making
  • Changes in mood, behavior, or personality
  • Confusion, disorientation, or increased anxiety
  • Challenges with daily routines and self-care

Supportive mental health care can help address emotional symptoms, manage behavioral changes, and support both individuals and caregivers.

How MindBridge Supports Alzheimer’s & Dementia-Related Symptoms

Care for Alzheimer’s and dementia at MindBridge is thoughtful, structured, and collaborative. We focus on managing symptoms, supporting emotional well-being, and helping families navigate changes with clarity and care.

Support may include:

  • Supportive therapy, focused on emotional support, adjustment, and coping strategies
  • Caregiver education and guidance, to help families understand symptoms and care considerations
  • Medication management, when appropriate, to support mood, anxiety, sleep, or behavioral symptoms
  • Coordination of care, including communication with primary care providers or specialists when helpful

Our goal is to support comfort, dignity, and quality of life throughout the care journey.
